There is an Evil Wind

An ill wind is blowing here. I’ve been steeped in malaise for days and it appears to be permeating the area because everyone seems to be experiencing some version of it.

Sometimes called a ‘Witches’ Wind’, the ‘Ion Effect’, ”Bitter Winds’, or a ‘Foehn Wind’, this phenomenon is known to have a strong impact on the human psyche. It can cause anxiety, unease, guilt, depression, fatigue, madness, restlessness, fear, dread, and malaise. Scientifically, what we are talking about is a positive ionization of the atmosphere, sometimes originating from solar wind. In some places, (Germany, Switzerland, France, Israel, China, the U.S. to name just a few), spikes in suicide, crime, sickness, fights, and traffic accidents are attributed to this unusual wind.

So, if you’ve been feeling out of sorts these last few days, don’t worry. You’re a human barometer and you’re not alone.

Perigee Moon

Super moon!

The moon’s elliptical orbit reaches its closest point to earth (its perigee) tonight; it will be about 14% bigger and 30% brighter than normal full moons.
